	Account Bannings - Game Exploitation

Dear Horizons Members: In the past few months, a growing basis of complaints has formed against a group of characters spanning several guilds on Chaos. The situation began with players voicing concern over a method that this group used to keep a strangle-hold on all Valkor kills. This practice is frowned upon and considered unfair, because of the nature of absenteeism on the character's part, the largest share of the work going to the in-game macroing system and feature of login invisibility/invulnerbility. More recently, it has become very clear that the characters have been involved in exploiting on a very wide scale. Due to the overwhelming propensity of infractions, one in particular being multiple characters per account, which have achieved an amazing number of 100's in tradeskills at a more than remarkable rate along with seemingly coordinated harassment, which has ranged from skirting the inflammatory to outright racist, the decision has been reached to permanently ban certain accounts associated with this group. The reasoning for this decision involved taking into consideration the current situation on Chaos and the game experience on that server. We are not trying to mandate that everyone hold hands and sing a song about how to get along. Rather, we are displaying that a coordinated and planned effort to disrupt the game, which relies on the process of warning, temporary ban, or permanent ban will not be answered with the process laid out and instead will be met with a judgment call. As it appears, the group pushes the limits of rules which need not be pushed; commonly use characters that obviously have been exploited to their current levels of expertise; use borderline tactics to ensure that they get the boss kill, and have a general disrespect for their fellow players. 	Horizons Subscriber Account Validation Required.

Dear Horizons Player, In recent months, a number of Horizons players have not updated their billing information with us, or may have inadvertently allowed their subscription(s) to expire. We are now making final preparations to update and validate all Horizons accounts with in our database. The final database validation is currently scheduled for Monday December 18^th. Now would be a good time to be sure your account/subscription information is correct, as it is recorded in our database. Before updating account or subscription information, please visit the following web page, which has instructions for making different types of account changes, and details a few special procedures: http://instructions.istaria.com. In the event there is a problem updating credit cards or adding subscriptions, the user should immediately contact Pay-by-Touch via telephone and their live operators can provide immediate assistance: (866) 609-4729. 	Death Threat to Community Moderator

This was posted on the Community forums. THREATS TO EI STAFF & MODERATORS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED: These forums were shut down on Friday night for a number of hours after a death threat was received by our Lead Moderator from a forums user. We have copied all database evidence, which is now being forwarded to law enforcement. The user making this threat has been permanently banned and removed from these forums and all thread and posts originated by this user have been deleted. *Moderators of these forums and IRC chat are volunteers* who have kindly given of their time to make these communications channels possible for Horizons subscribers. Continued threats or other harrassment of EI moderators and other personnel will result in the complete shutdown of these forums and IRC chat. This announcement is the final warning on this subject.
