It was a single act of Human self-sacrifice that gave the Living Races of today a fighting chance against the onslaught of the Withered Aegis. It was also a single Human’s lust for power that brought the world to the brink of oblivion. Thus, Humans represent the extremes of civilization and the unpredictability of existence that makes prognostication of future events nigh impossible.

Physiologically, Humans are often used as a measuring stick to compare the various living races. They stand on average six feet tall, with the female of the species standing slightly smaller. Humans possess average musculature, but they have the ability to enhance their physique through physical conditioning so that it is much more muscular and powerful. They are soft-skinned, but their skin has a natural resilience to the elements.

Humans are bipedal, able to move at great speeds using their legs. As the “Children of Istara”, Humans are known for their tremendous survivability and adaptability, even under the least hospitable of conditions.

Humans are quite versatile and adept at many fields of endeavor, though they tend to gravitate towards scholarly and arcane-oriented pursuits.
